How We Make Them

Each spoon is repurposed by hand into a one-of-a-kind ring. We cut off the bowl, file and sand the edge smooth, and bend the handle into a perfect circle for your finger.

Answers to common questions about our handmade spoon rings.

Do I have to mail my spoon in, or can I bring it to the store?
Either works. Bring it into our Uptown Oxford store during open hours and we'll make your ring on the spot, or mail it to us if you can't get to Oxford.
What are spoon rings made from?
Some are stainless steel, some are sterling silver, and some are silver plate. We'll always tell you exactly what your spoon is made of before we make it!
Can I pick my spoon design?
Yes! Tell us the style you're after (or send us your own spoon) and as long as your ring size fits within the spoon's length, we'll make it work.
Are they adjustable?
Usually, yes. We leave a small gap in most of our spoon rings, so you can adjust the fit.
Do they tarnish?
The sterling silver rings are tarnish-resistant, but the silver plate and stainless steel rings will tarnish eventually.
What sizes do you offer?
All of them, though it depends on the spoon. Some spoons only have enough length for up to a size 5, while others can make any size!
How long does it take to ship?
We're all college students, so shipping can take up to 5 days, but we're usually pretty quick about it.

Send Us Your Spoon

Have a spoon already, or found one on eBay? Send us photos, either of the spoon itself or the eBay listing, and we’ll tell you if it’ll work as a ring.

  1. Send us photos. Photos of your own spoon, or screenshots (or a link) from an eBay listing you like. Either works. Email them to thecollegeartisansshop@gmail.com.
  2. We confirm it works. We check that the handle is long enough for a ring and email you the total within 24 hours.
  3. Approve and wear it. Once you approve, mail us your spoon (or we buy the eBay one) and we ship your finished ring back in about a week.

If we’re buying the spoon from an eBay listing for you, that item’s price and shipping gets added to our $25 labor fee. We’ll confirm the exact total by email before you pay anything.

  • If the group's payment leaves budget room, a sterling ring can be added at the end as a bonus, decided per event rather than auto-calculated.
  • Sterling pieces are one-of-a-kind; supply isn't guaranteed.
